My Neighborhood

This is the reflection of my neighbor's flag on the wet sidewalk. Luke took this picture and I really like it. It makes me think of how I can reflect the American flag in my own life. Pretty deep just from a picture.

There's something noble and inspiring about the American flag that I absolutely love. I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe it's the colors red, white and blue. And all the things the flag stand for: freedom, justice, equality. There are several flags flying in my neighborhood and I'm grateful they are there.

Ava and her friend Coral dressed up as ballerina's and danced around the neighborhood. Here's some pictures of them.

This is Elle, Ava's friend. They love to look at bugs together, then run away screaming at the tops of their lungs!

The Dora sprinkler, pretty crazy stuff.

This is Tristan, he lives right next door. He and Ava love to play together, sometimes they even run off and hide together, making it difficult on us parents to find them!

Oquihrr Mountain Temple

We attended the temple open house on Monday afternoon and it was wonderful. The temple wasn't very busy and we were able to tour slowly though at our own pace. The girls did really well and Ava enjoyed being inside the temple. We asked her how she felt inside the temple and she said, "better." We all felt better being inside the temple. It was very beautiful inside with double staircase leading up to the chapel, underneath a large and shimmering chandelier. Ava really liked all the lights. She said they were twinkling stars. If you get the chance, I'd recommend going to the open house, then going back later after it's dedicated. I'm planning on it.

We went swimming at the Abrams new pool! It was so much fun. Here are some of the pictures Luke took.

Lagoon

It was our Stake Lagoon day on Friday, June 12th, so we got in for free. We had to pay if we wanted to ride on the rides, but we were able to get on a few for free. Luke had the afternoon off so he came with us. The girls behaved pretty well and rode in the stroller. I can't wait to take them to Disneyland in a couple of years! In my opinion, Lagoon is way overpriced and pretty low quality compared to Disneyland.

Ava and I rode on the Merry-go-Round and had a lot of fun! I didn't get a picture of it, but Luke and Ava rode on the Tilt-a-Whirl. I was worried about her getting motion sick or hating the ride, but she really loved it!

We had a really nice afternoon. The girls slept in the car on the ride home and it was nice and quiet. Later that night, Luke took some engagement pictures and they should be posted on his blog soon if you want to check them out.

I Love My Tess!

I just had to put this picture on of Tess.  I just love her cute little face, round chubby cheeks, and petite grin!
