My Birthday!

May 30th was my 25th birthday!  I already got my big present, my trip to England, but Luke took me and the girls out for a birthday afternoon adventure.  We went for a drive up big cottonwood canyon, or maybe it was little cottonwood, and then we walked around Silver Lake at the top, up by Brighton ski resort.  There was still snow up there!  It was warm though and the sun was shining so we had a good time.  The air smelled so good.  I love the smell of woodsy mountain air. It really clears your head.  It was so quiet and peaceful up there too.  A great birthday adventure!
It was beautiful while we were there, but Ava got out the umbrella, just in case. It did in fact start raining about 5 mintues after we left.  Good timing!

Ava got really excited because she saw a chipmunk.  Here's a picture of him below.  We watched him scamper about and eat grass for about 5 minutes, until he finally left and we continued on our walk.

Ava fell in the snow and got a little dirty on her hands.  Well, to be specific, she didn't actually fall, she fell out of the stroller when Luke tried to get a running start to push the stroller through the snow.  When he hit the snow bank she launched out of the front and strait into the wetness.
Luke helped her up and cleaned her off while I took pictures!

Memorial Day Weekend

Luke took this picture outside his parents house.  I held up the black side of his reflector as the background.  I love it!
These pictures were also taken outside, just minus the black reflector background.

Below are pictures taken at This is the Place Heritage Park.  We took the girls for the afternoon on Memorial Day.  Ava loved the animals and riding the train.  Also, I luckily got a picture of Luke because he's rarely in our photos!

This B.F. Johnson house is I believe a relative of mine in my family history.  About 4 great grandparents ago!

Here are some random pictures from the breakfast on Monday morning. There will probably be many more on Luke's blog soon.

We played tennis on Saturday afternoon.  Ava borrowed my racket, but she really needs her own.  Next time we're at the store, or maybe the DI or a garage sale.
