Luke and I have been married 9 years today! I can't believe how fast it's gone by. It really doesn't feel very long at all. For our anniversary we did a little weekend trip to Park City, planned by Luke, and it was a big success! Here's some pictures:
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, named Cena. The food was so delicious and plentiful! Luke had this handmade artisan pepperoni pizza which was actually super delicious.
I had the chicken parmesan which was covered in melted cheese and so yummy! I love anything with lots of cheese!
For dessert I had a vanilla flan/pudding thing with blueberries and cinnamon streusel and lemon sorbet.
Luke had a chocolate pudding cake with berries. It was very rich but perfect for chocolate lovers. We also had appetizers but I don't have pictures of those. There was so much food that we couldn't even finish dessert!
There were hiking trails up the mountains kind of between and around ski lifts, so Luke and I took a hike together and it was beautiful.
That's Jordanelle, at least that's what Luke said. :)
Luke just had his iphone with us so we just used that camera. That's become his camera of choice lately. So easy!
Here's the hotel we stayed at: The Chateaux at Silver Lake. It's out of the way of Park City traffic and noise, tucked far up the mountain in a very private, beautiful location. I would totally recommend this place. It was beautiful inside and outside.
The pool at the hotel. It was so quiet, it seemed like we had the place all to ourselves. We rarely saw other guests and it was nice to run from the pool to the hot tub and back again.
We did the alpine slide and I kept thinking how much fun the girls would have had on it. We'll have to take them another time.
What a great way to spend an anniversary! I'm so lucky I married Luke. I've never been great with words and expressing myself through the written medium, but I sure do love Luke and am grateful for the 9 years we've had together. Can't wait for many, many more!
