Daddy Daughter Dance

Last week Ava's school had a Daddy Daughter Dance and so Ava and Luke went and they had so much fun. They got their pictures taken, did a craft, had some snacks and of course danced.
It was really fun to get Ava ready for the dance. I did her hair in two french braids and put a little make up on her to make her feel special.
This picture is of course a classic funny face!

Christmas Eve

I forgot to post these pictures with my Christmas post, so here they are, a couple weeks late. :) This picture below was taken just a few minutes before the girls went to bed on Christmas Eve. They are wearing their new jammies. And they love their nightgowns!
On Christmas Eve we were downtown at my Mom's and we walked over to see the lights at Temple Square. It was really busy that night, but it was warm and we had fun.

I love the lights! We had a great Christmas Eve at my Mom's eating Chinese Food and watching movies.

Christmas Sunday

For church on Sunday the girls got to sing with the Primary "Christmas in Zarahemla." It's a song that tells about the Nephites and Samuel's prophecy concerning when the Savior would be born. I love that song, it's one of my favorites in the children's song book.
It was really warm on Christmas day, no snow at all, so the girls wore their matching dresses that my mom gave them and I added the little black shrugs, that way we all match!
Even Luke matches very well! What a beautiful family I have! Yay for Christmas!

Christmas Morning

Since Christmas was on Sunday we had to get up early in order to make it to church by 9 am. So we woke the girls up at 7:00 am so they could open their presents and see what Santa left them.
Santa brought them lots of things in their stockings, each an umbrella, and each a barbie laptop computer. It's not a real laptop but it looks like one and it has tons of games on it.
It was pretty much a Barbie Christmas this year. Luke and I gave the girls several different barbie dolls and accesories.

The girls each got their own pink Barbie convertible for their new barbie's to ride in. It was a good plan to get two because now they can't fight over it!

The girls love their new nightdresses and robes. Very cozy and snuggly!

FotoFly Santa

These are my girls pictures from FotoFly Santa at Thanksgiving Point. It's a different kind of take on Santa pictures. Luke actually dressed up in the Santa costume and we cropped out his head. For those of you who don't know yet, I've actually been working at FotoFly Santa this December and they just offered me a permanent job in their studio. Beginning next week I'm going to be trained as a photographer and I'm super excited about it! The Santa pictures have been a hit overall though. Today is the final day and so far we've done over 1100 families in under a month. Each session lasts about 5 minutes and you get all your images on a flash drive for $20! Yay! Anyway, this is officially my Christmas post. Since I've been so busy with work, I probably won't be posting a ton, but I'll try at least for once or twice a month!

Festival of Trees

The girls danced at Festival of Trees on Wednesday. It was super fun! We went early and walked through the displays and trees and then had some cinnamon rolls and scones before the show.

Luke took lots of pictures and I recorded the dances on a quick video. It's not the best quality but you can watch it below.
